Light Up the Night

The image of the lighthouse at night is poetry to me. It's a symbol of awareness, of hope. For me, this image represents my aim with this blog, with my book, and all the work ahead of discussing my experiences and encouraging others with similar stories. When we use our light- in the case of Blindbird, to voice our truths- notice how, like the beams in the image, other, dimmer lights are illuminated. And we see that there are so many, and that we're not alone. There's so much power in that awareness, and from that power we can cultivate the courage to love ourselves into triumph.
