Move.

The end of a year always brings with it a time of reflection. It's funny how strongly that word, reflection, applies in our lives: it greets us every time we behold ourselves in the mirror, and it takes us on a trek back down the roads by which we've traveled.
I'd love to blend these two meanings & let them dance a little while together until there were some way to see oneself more clearly. To reflect on how what we've made it through has shaped us into the creatures we present to our own eyes today. We would be reminded of our history, the mercy by which we've been kept, the strength of the powers at work in our lives, the joy of knowing we are loved by God, every time we saw our faces in the mirror.
This knowing, seeing, and reflecting is critical for anyone who feels stuck, anyone who is ready to throw off the old burdens & plagues. Often, there's trepidation when it comes to the thought of moving forward. We may see our past failures and shortcomings, and forget that because we are children of God, because of our redemption through Jesus, how truly exquisite we are.
I believe very strongly that if you've survived sexual (or any other kind of) abuse, you have a very special purpose and an undeniable calling on your existence. There is work you're meant to do, people you're meant to help, love you're meant to bless this planet with. In order to live up to that, be willing to take faith. Be willing to reflect with honesty and boldness, and see- really see- who you are. When you see clearly, you're ready to move.
Wishing you blessings of clear sight and fruitfulness.
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, and He who formed you, "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine..." -Isaiah 43:1
